Europlast is a market leading association of several polymer producers in Russia and the CIS, with seven manufacturing facilities supplying global food and beverage producers such as Coca Cola, PepsiCo, Danone, Heineken and Carlsberg.
Europlast’s central analytics team was consolidating data from various unconnected data sources to prepare monthly management reports. With complex spreadsheets for budgeting and planning, it was a labour-intensive data gathering and preparation process, which meant they couldn’t produce reports more frequently. Europlast wanted a solution that would enable them to prepare full company performance reports for regular management reviews and to support the decision-making process. In particular, they wanted the ability to respond in real-time to ad hoc requests. Europlast decided to use Polymatica because it met all these requirements.
The first step in developing modern analytical support was to create a set of dashboards to provide key sales, financial and operational performance information in real-time. Then we connected a low-level five-year history to the data. This gave Europlast’s analysts the ability to conduct deep, detailed dynamic analyses of sales and production performance.
